Prom is often the first time a group of teenagers arranges its own transportation, and it is the part of the night parents worry about most. Those worries are reasonable, and a properly run chauffeur service addresses nearly all of them.
What parents should confirm before booking
- The operator is licensed and commercially insured for passenger transport.
- The chauffeur is a screened professional, not a casual driver.
- The itinerary, including every stop, is agreed in writing beforehand.
- A parent contact number is on the booking.
Ask these questions of any operator. A serious company will answer them without hesitation.
Alcohol and the law
The legal drinking age in Ontario is nineteen. Alcohol is not permitted in our vehicles for underage passengers under any circumstances, and our chauffeurs will end a booking if it appears. This is not a policy we negotiate. It protects the passengers, the chauffeur and our licence, and parents booking prom transportation should expect exactly that answer.
Agreeing the itinerary
Prom night usually involves photographs at one home, the venue itself, and sometimes an after-event. Set those stops when you book. Our chauffeur follows the agreed route and will not add unscheduled destinations at the request of passengers. If plans genuinely need to change, that comes from the parent or organiser who made the booking.
Choosing the right vehicle
Groups splitting the cost is normal, and a party bus or stretch is often cheaper per person than several cars. Give us an accurate headcount. Overloading a vehicle beyond its rated capacity is unsafe and we will not do it.
Timing around the venue
Prom venues receive a great many vehicles in a very short window. Arriving slightly ahead of the crowd usually means a better drop-off and better photographs. Our chauffeurs know the main Toronto venues and where they stage.
