The Whistler run
The Sea to Sky Highway between Vancouver and Whistler is a long mountain drive and one of the more scenic roads in the country. It also demands a driver who knows it, particularly in winter when conditions change with elevation. This is not a route to improvise with an unfamiliar operator.
Cruise season
Vancouver is a major departure point for Alaska sailings, and on a turnaround day several thousand passengers arrive and depart within a few hours. Transfers between YVR and Canada Place on those days need to be booked ahead; arranging on arrival with luggage and a sailing time is not a position to be in.
The time difference
Vancouver is three hours behind Toronto. A morning meeting on the west coast is early afternoon at home, which affects both scheduling and how tired you will be on arrival. We factor the actual local time into pickups rather than the one on your phone.
